When installation kicks off, check both options for adding a desktop shortcut and shortcuts to Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Navigate to the download location and double-click the GoogleDriveSetup.exe file to begin the installation. Next, click the Download Drive for desktop button. Launch a browser and open the Google Drive download page. To link Google Drive and File Explorer, do the following: The first thing you’ll need to do is integrate Google Drive by linking it to File Explorer on Windows. Note: We’re using Windows 10 for this article, but the steps are virtually identical for Windows 11. We’ll show to add Google Drive to File Explorer for straightforward access to your online files. You can also manage how files sync with Google Drive. You can move files on your PC to Google Drive and vice-versa. Google Drive in File Explorer turns it into any drive you connect to your PC. However, if you add Google Drive to File Explorer on Windows, you’ll have easier access to the cloud-based files. On both Windows and Mac, when you click on the icon you should see a blue sign in button as below which means Google Drive File Stream isn’t logged in properly. Problem B: My Google Drive icon is there, but when i click on it it says ‘Sign In’ You should then see the file stream Icon appear in your taskbar and your G drive should be accessible again. On Mac, open the finder and click ‘applications’, then double click ‘Google Drive File Stream’ You should then see the Drive File Stream Icon appear in your task bar after a few seconds, in which case your G drive should be accessible again. 
On Windows, click on the windows menu in the bottom left corner, scroll down to applications beginning with D and click on ‘Drive File Stream’. Please review the below problems that you might notice at step 2 above and follow the steps relating to your problem. On Windows, click the small arrow icon near your clock to see your task bar as shown below:ģ.
